Keine Überfall-Records-Band, dafür ist das Stück ein weiterbearbeitetes Cover von Out of Orders "Haunt You" von der "Open Prison"-LP, auf der sich auch ein Out-of-Order-Cover vom Actifed-Song "Mindless Violence" befindet.
Notdurft ist ein Stück Bielefelder Punkrockgeschichte. 1997 Jahren hat der zu frühe Tod des Frontmannes Thomas Pielecki für ein abruptes Ende des zweiten Frühlings dieser Band gesorgt. Nun macht die DVD "Meine Frau ist ein Videofan" das Wiedersehen mit den alten Helden möglich. Hierauf versammelt sind Videoaufnahmen von 1982 bis 1996 von der Urbesetzung bis zum Comeback. Jetzt gibt es den Film (ohne Menü und Artwork) auch als kostenlosen Download.
Notdurft is part of Bielfeld's punkrock-history. In 1997 the untimely death of lead-singer Thomas Pielecki set an abrupt end to the second spring of his band. Nachdem Tom 1985 Notdurft verlassen musste, machte die Band unter neuem Namen und mit neuem Sänger weiter. Der neue Sänger war Dave Evans, der neue Name Mind Overboard. 1987 haben sie ein Album aufgenommen, welches bis heute unveröffentlicht blieb, da das Label nach der Testpressung pleite ging. Das zweite Album "Recovering" wurde 1991 aufgenommen und veröffentlicht, wieder mit einem neuen Sänger (Fritz Kraft). Diese Zusammenstellung ist als zweiter Teil zur Notdurft-Compilation "Roh und beliebt" konzipiert und enthält unveröffentlichtes Material aus der gesamten Mind-Overboard-Geschichte. So ist zum ersten Mal die erste LP erhältlich - dezent remastert, ein paar Live-Mitschnitte von der Originalbesetzung, "Recovering"-Demos, Demos aus der Zeit nach "Recovering" und ein paar Aufnahmen vom Abschiedskonzert.
After Tom had to leave Notdurft in 1985 the band went on with a new name and a new singer. The new singer was Dave Evans, the new name Mind Overboard. They recorded one LP in 1987 which never was released until today, because the record label went bankrupt just after the test pressing. The second album "Recovering" was recorded and released in 1991 again with a new singer named Fritz Kraft. This compilation is concepted as the second part for the Notdurft-compilation "Roh und beliebt" and contains unreleased material covering the whole Mind Overboard. So for the first time ever you are able to get their first LP - slightly remastered, some live-cuts from the original line-up, demos for "Recovering", demos after "Recovering" and some recordings from the farewell-concert.
